Prepare to experience a custom Wrath of the Lich King realm featuring unique Ascension progression, challenging boss encounters, dynamic world events, and both PvE and PvP content.
Follow the steps below to begin your adventure.
Before entering the world, you'll need a NYWOW account.
Visit our Registration page and create your account. Your credentials will work for both the NYWOW website and the game.
NYWOW runs on World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (Build 12340).
You'll need a compatible client and any required NYWOW custom patches to properly experience our modified content, custom gear, and sounds.
If you already have a compatible 3.3.5a client, you can prepare it for the next step.

Both Patch-Z and Patch-E will be needed to see custom gear, zones, sounds, and boss encounters.
Open your World of Warcraft installation folder.
Navigate to:
Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf
For British English clients, use Data\enGB\realmlist.wtf instead.
Open the file using Notepad and replace its contents with:
set realmlist nywow.net
Save the file.
Once our official domain is configured, we'll update these instructions to use our permanent realm address.
Start the game using Wow.exe in your World of Warcraft installation folder.
Log in using the account you created on our website.
Select NYWOW from the realm list and enter the world.
Your Ascension begins here.
NYWOW features an original introductory experience that prepares you for our custom progression system.
Explore our Ascension gear tiers, test yourself in the Proving Grounds, discover powerful bosses throughout Bloodmyst and Quel'Danas, and join world events such as City Battle, The Last Stand, and Caravan Conflict.
